Two Days Before

As the scenes change on the TV screen, the color changes on his face. I'm supposed to be watching the movie but I found something better. The AC kicks on but I don't care, the thick fairly used quilt my friend gave me is quite warm, and the sofa I was sitting on was like god’s handholding you there so comfortably. He looks at me and I quickly face the TV and pretend to be into it when my phone vibrates and out of the corner of my eye I notice him smiling, “you look kina lonely all the way over there”. He grabs my leg and pulls me over to him. We both sit there like utter fools smiling ear to ear. I can feel his body heat radiating off of him. Smell the sweet smells of dance and his natural body cologne. The sofa is just so soft I couldn’t help it but my body relaxed and he put his arm around me as in approval. Between scenes I pulled the foot rest over and spread out even more, so did he. At this point there was no empty space between us; the “scariest” part of the movie came on. The room got dark and quite, our faces lit with the little light coming from the TV and nothing but the suspenseful music and our breathing filled the room. I looked at him, he looked at me…he smiles and leans in a little bit closer till the space between our faces was almost filled…and then…the garage door opens, his parents just got home.
